Semiotics is used in the landscape to turn plants, forms, and artworks into readable “signs” that express traditional Indian ideas about knowledge, learning, and nature. In this campus, every key element—whether a sculpture, a pathway, a grove of trees, or a water feature—is selected not just for its visual appeal, but for what it signifies within Indian cultural memory, echoing associations with wisdom, sacred landscapes, and the continuity between people and the natural world.

The landscape design draws inspiration from the institution’s core value of education, embedding the garden with sculptures that symbolize the role of knowledge and wisdom in Indian culture and traditions. Their placement, along with the alignment of the main driveway within the expansive wooded urban setting, is guided by everyday user experience, responding to the patterns of visitors who access the campus through a daily drive-through.

To minimize procurement and maintenance costs while ensuring resilience in the harsh semi-arid climate, the planting palette emphasizes bulbous and succulent species that are inherently drought-tolerant and capable of thriving under low-water conditions. This approach supports long-term sustainability by reducing irrigation demand, simplifying upkeep, and reinforcing the campus identity as a climate-responsive learning environment.
